Here the face is divided by a vertical axis that does not merely separate: it erupts. A dark column crosses the figure from top to bottom, compact, almost structural. At the height of the eyes, the material explodes laterally into fragments and splatters, like an impact frozen in the instant of its expansion. It is not a simple drip: it is a collision point. The profile remains legible only in part, held at the edges of the surface. The light background amplifies the contrast and allows the black to become physical presence, weight. In Without Color, this work introduces a more radical dynamic. Not erosion, not stratification. It is central fracture.
