Daniele Accossato
Daniele Accossato (b. 1987, Turin) explores the relationship between art and memory, redefining the sacred aura of iconic works from the past by grounding his vision in archetypes. His sculptures, often “imprisoned” in transport crates or cages, highlight the tension between art and the market, between expressive freedom and commercial value.
His poetics play with citation and reinterpretation, disrupting classical canons to offer a new perspective. Starting from immediate, raw materials such as clay and earth, and later adding resin, cement, and bronze, his work invites reflection on the commodification of art and on the role of the artist in contemporary society.
His irreverent and innovative approach makes him one of the most original voices in contemporary sculpture today
