MELONISKI DA VILLACIDRO

MELONISKI DA VILLACIDRO

Meloniski da Villacidro is an Italian artist born in Sardinia in 1943. Self-taught, he developed his skills outside of academia, building a personal language through direct study, engagement with art history, and travel experiences.

In the 1960s, he moved first to Paris and then to Milan, where he consolidated his artistic career. He worked continuously in painting, sculpture, and ceramics, using different materials and techniques, from marble to bronze, from wood to graphics.

His research moves within a recognizable figurative imagery, characterized by symbolic elements, suspended atmospheres, and a narrative dimension that runs through his entire production. The works maintain a balance between formal construction and expressive freedom, rendering a coherent and autonomous vision.

He lives and works in Lombardy. His works are present in private collections and exhibited in galleries and exhibition spaces dedicated to contemporary art.
