In Blue Capri Boat, Daniele Fortuna constructs an image suspended between painting and sculpture. A boat emerges in relief from a carved wooden surface, crossing a sharp line that separates green from blue, like an unstable horizon between air and water. The wood, deeply excavated and coated in acrylic, retains a vertical grain that makes the manual process visible. The decorative frame, itself carved, encloses the scene like a frozen fragment of landscape, transforming the image into a compact, silent object. The boat neither advances nor reaches shore: it remains suspended, held in a precarious balance. The color saturated yet controlled strips away any naturalistic reference and shifts the scene into a mental dimension, where the sea becomes surface and navigation turns into image. A work that operates along the boundary, between depth and facade, between narrative and form.
